George Henshaw has an extensive background as both an independent business owner and as an executive with various firms.
He began his career with Huntington Banks and later served as a consultant with Florida accounting firm Smith, Braley & Johnson. He was a vice president with Freddie Mac (Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation) and later served as Partner-in-Charge of consulting for first the Denver then the Houston office of the international Big 4 public accounting firm KPMG. He has owned a home-building firm and developed and operated a large self storage firm. He first became involved with real estate sales in 1977.
George directs much of his energy towards marketing businesses and investment and commercial real estate. He is especially involved in marketing self storage facilities.
He has marketed businesses ranging from an equipment rental store which sold for $400,000.00 to a self storage business which listed at $1,450,000.00 and sold for $1,380,000.00 in just six weeks. He recently sold a 36,000 Cleveland area self storage in less than four months for $1,600,000. With his focus on self storage sales, he generally has several self storage facilities for sale himself and with his network of industry contacts has access to about two dozen Ohio self storage facilities for sale at any time.
George received his B.S. in Financial Administration from Michigan State University. He gained his real estate education at Ohio’s Ashland University.
George and his wife Linda reside in Hudson, Ohio.
